VS Pink With a Splash Body Mists

Pink with a Splash is a body mist collection from Victoria's secret's pink line.They have a huge collection of these great long lasting body mists, but having so many choices mean it can be a drag and kind of confusing sniffing through 'em all. I want to share my two absolute favorites from this line. Just buy these two and you're good for an entire year as one is a summer scent, and the other is great for winters.

 Pink with a splash body mists come in 8.4floz and 4.2oz and has aloe and chamomile to lightly moisturize your skin. You can get them for $12 to $15 dollars from Victoria's secret.

The Scents I have chosen to review today are called, Warm and Cozy (for winters) and Fresh and Clean (for summers)

NOTES: Toasted Vanilla, Pink Peony and Raspberry

I love the name warm and cozy and it really is a warm comforting scent. The toasted vanilla lends a warm nuttiness to the scent making it a great winter staple. The peony is not overpowering, and the raspberry lends a subtle sweetness to it without making it overly fruity. It's a sweet, comforting vanilla  for when it's cold outside and you want to snuggle in by the fire with your favorite book and a hot drink.

Fresh and Clean

Notes: Apple and Lily.

This has a "just stepped out of the shower" scent. It's very fresh and has a crispness to it with a slight apple note. Great for those summer days when you just want to lounge around the house and can't be bothered with wearing a "proper'' perfume. I find the staying power to last quite long for a body splash. It's not too sweet or cloying making it perfect to wear in warmer months.

Another good one for summers from the line is, "Sweet and Tart" which smells like strawberry lemonade.

VS Secret Garden Body Mists

Hi everyone. I know I have rambled and raved about my love for vicky`s secret`s body mists before, but they seriously are that good and deserve to be mentioned again. The secret garden collection comes in both perfume and body mist forms and have further matching lotions, body butters, showergels e.t.c My review today is of their gorgeous body mists. They come in loads of scents and the bottles are huge 8.4 fl oz. They retail for $12 or $15. I can`t seem to find these on their website right now. And are available at SHAMS in Islamabad for Rs.1,400. These are all fruity florals and last a long time on my skin.

What it says on the bottle: Refresh with fragrance from a secret garden, infused with moisturizing Aloe Vera and calming Chamomile. Mist over body after shower or bath for delicately scented skin.
I have four favorites from their collection.

I find these refreshing and long lasting. Great for summers. But, some people have complained that these don`t last long on their skin. The trick is layering. And that means forking out more money to buy shower gel and lotions in the same scent and layer it on before applying the mist. I don`t know why Victoria`s secret doesn't launch outside the US. It is quite cheap over there and their sales and deals are to die for. I hear they have VS at  Heathrow and Gatwick airports in London but even those don`t have their entire range of products. Come on VS!! You need to get out and explore the world. Victoria`s secret + La Senza + Bath and body works = owned by the same parent company i.e.Limited Brands.
OK enough ranting lets get to the review.

strawberries and champagne

Sounds romantic right? I don`t know how they did this but it actually does smell fizzy and bubbly. Delicious and refreshing. Its like a very watered down version of Miss Dior cherie, minus the caramel note.
The sweetness of the strawberries is balanced and not too sweet. I store mine in the fridge and apply whenever a blast of freshness is needed.

Pure Seduction

Its a juicy summer cocktail. Love the melon in this. Beautifully blended. Great for casual wear during the summer.Sweet and lush. Nothing complex about it. Pure fruit punch. I have received compliments every time I have worn this, just last week an elderly uncle wanted to know what smelled so heavenly so he could get it for his niece and I was too embarrassed to tell him the name of this so I just made up some name that doesn't exist hehe.

Notes: Casaba melon, Plum and Freesia.

Berry Kiss

Who doesnt want to be kissed by berries! Starts off very fruity and girly, pure berries galore. After ten minutes or so, it becomes very floral hence the rose note. The drydown is pure praline and roses. Truly yummy!

Amber Romance

Amber romance is great for everyday winter wear. Even though this too is a fruity floral, its different from others in this collection. unique, comforting and creamy. The notes are Black cherries, creme Anglaise (fancy name for custard) and sandalwood. The opening is somewhat sharp with a tangy cherry note the most prominent, it settles down quickly into this creamy sandalwood with a hint of cherries. Even though this has lashings of creme anglaise Im happy to note its not very sweet or gourmand. Too rich  for the summers, it`s lovely for fall and winters.

VS Beauty Rush Double Body Mist Review

Hellooo ladyz! The monsoon season has officially started in my part of the world. As much as I love summer rains snd monsoon, they do come at a price. It gets extremely humid and everything turns soggy and sticky. The perfumes you love turn cloyingly sweet on the skin, induces headaches and make people around you turn blue in the face from trying to hold their breath when around you. So puhleez laydeez, lets go easy on the spray factor. I usually stop wearing perfumes and go for body mists. They are lighter and not so harsh in this heat and humidity. The beauty rush line is available at Shams in Islamabad for Rs.1400 for a big 250ml bottle. Mine were gifts from abroad and retails for $12. I`m in loove with Victoria`s secret beauty rush and Pink line of body mists. I have three in, Appletini, slice of heaven and candy baby scents. Here`s my review.

The thing with body double mist is that you have to shake it  for it to mix and then apply. As you can see in the first picture, they have two layers, one of fragrance, and the other of skin conditioners. So if you`re in a hurry, it  moisturizes and scents the skin in one go. The green one is called Appletini and is a crisp apple scent. Very refreshing.

            This one is called Slice of heaven (cute name) and is very sweet. Its like cupcakes and caramel. The only downside of this one is, it gives me  a bad craving  and I want to pull up in front of a bakery and indulge :)

        The last one is not technically a body double mist, but, a body shimmer mist, and comes in the scent candy baby. This scent is straight up candy floss. If you love the smell of candy floss at fairs and carnivals, this is exactly like that. It wont make your skin ridiculously sparkly but will add only a hint of shimmer.

VS Dream Angels Heavnly Perfume Review

Dream Angels Heavenly is a very American perfume: clean and clear, with a thin bouquet which smells like clean and warm skin of a woman. It was created in 1999 and flattered by many critics (FiFi 2000).(sourcehttp://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Victoria-s-Secret/Dream-Angels-Heavenly-1732.html

        On the left is eau de Perfume 125ml which I bought from Shams in Islamabad for Rs.3400
           The smaller bottle is a body mist called angel mist 75ml which is around $15 and was a gift

 Dream angels Heavenly is a Lovely Oriental, with cardamom playing the leading role on my skin. A little too sweet for the summers, its a perfect fall/winter scent. The bottle is very sleek and modern in design mimicking the curves of a woman`s body, and has accents of gold. A warm, powdery, sexy skin scent. Makes me want to check my shoulders for growing spurts of wings. Heavenly indeed.

Miranda Kerr, one of the Victoria’s Secret angels,is the face of the fragrance Heavenly enchanted. 

    Victoria`s secret perfumes can be found at any good perfume retailer, but the body mists are hard to find. I feel I prefer the body mist over the perfume as it`s less sweeter and more powdery.

I would also like to explain to people who are new to perfumes that top notes are what you smell the minute you spray on the perfume. Top notes stay with you for 5 to 10 minutes in most cases. Middle notes tend to stay for more than an hour or two, sometimes more, depending on the ingredients used. The base notes are which lingers the longest on your skin, and you can smell them as the perfume fades away.
