I heart Paris

There is something about Paris that has inspired writers, artists and romantics for centuries. Paris (nicknamed the City of lights) is the capital city of France, and the largest city there.
The Seine river runs through the oldest part of Paris, and divides it into two parts, known as the Left Bank and the Right Bank. It is surrounded by many forests. There’s something about Paris that stays with you. From your very first bite of an authentic buttery flaky croissant, to strolling along the Seine.

...Breaking a fresh baguette under the shadow of the Eiffel Tower to your very first peek at Laudree's  gorgeous window display. Laduree is most well known all over the world for their amazing selection of French macarons and pastries.C'est magnifique!

As you can see, I'm a little obsessed...

The Museums, the gardens, the elegant boutiques and road side cafes where you can sit all day and watch the world go by.

The jewel of Paris ,Sacre Coeur....

The famous French Crepes...

And of course the great french perfume houses. Chanel, Creed, Caron, Guerlain, Fragonard, Dyptique to name just a few.
The home of great perfumes is undoubtedly France. And the village of Grasse in the south of France (and nearby Eze) are synonymous with French Perfume. Grasse is a pilgrimage for all great perfume lovers - as well as many perfumeries to visit, the countryside is laden with the scented flowers that characterise the classic French fragrances. Here grows Jasmine, Tuberose, Roses, Irises and Lilies especially cultivated for their scent.
Paris, of course, also has long associations with perfume, and many of the great French houses are still to be found head-quartered in central Paris

And of course, no trip to Paris can be complete without a visit to the world famous  Galeries Lafayette

Founded in 1893, Galeries Lafayette department store is a Paris fashion institution. Clothes, jewelry, accessories, home furnishings or cosmetics can all be bought under one roof. It also houses a food market, Lafayette Gourmet, that will be sure to tempt foodies and curious travelers alike. Modeled after a Mideastern baazar, the store flaunts unique Belle Epoque architecture.

Paris, Je t'aime.....

And lastly, I would like to share some mainstream perfumes with you all. An ode to Paris...

PARIS

The perfume is named after Paris, the adored city of Yves Saint Laurent, who created it as a tribute to the Parisiennes who are always elegant, romantic, vivacious, ironic, simple and charming. Paris is a brilliant harmony of roses and violet flowers. This woody-floral starts with bergamot and violet, followed my may rose and iris at its heart, ending with sensational warmth of sandalwood.
PARISIENNE

Romantically named Parisienne by YSL, it implicates its Paris fragrance antecedents, as well as its edited bottle design. Besides the official notes of Damascus rose, violet, peony, cranberry, patchouli, vetiver, musk and sandalwood, it also contains urban and bold aromas of vinyl and lacquer, reminding us of the special scent of a cosmetic bag, make – up and high-heels on the hot city asphalt.

RIVE GAUCHE
Rive Gauche means - 'Left Bank'- and stands for the left side of the river Seine, an intellectual, hip and slightly more bohemian side of Paris, where YSL boutique is situated. Rive Gauche is a fragrance for free and independent women, a gracious inhabitant of the city who likes the sun and wind more than anything but who is also quintessentially metropolitan.
The well-known and much loved composition of floral aldehydes was enriched in 2000s with clear woody and aromatic accords. The aldehyde note is now surrounded by pelargonium and rose absolute, which somewhat softens the sharp metal note of the original composition, ending with a comfortable combination of oak moss, vetiver, musk and balsamic notes.
And yet those changes leave the fragrance very recognizable - all the way to the arty flacon. It is a great addition to any perfume lover's collection due to its true versatility and impeccable, very French' taste.

CHAMPS ELISEES
Delicate fruity-floral fragrance. Mimosa, rose, almond, and forest fruits are followed by melon and exotic fruits. It is a day-time perfume. It was first created by Jacques Guerlain in 1904, but the contemporary Champs Elisées has nothing common with the first fragrance but the name. Still it is also a beautiful fragrance. The new Champs Elisées was launched in 1996.
SOIR DE PARIS
Soir de Paris (evening in Paris) is the most known fragrance created by bourjois. The top notes are fruity fresh, featured with bergamot, apricot and peach, green notes and violet. The floral heart is composed of rose Damascena, jasmine, heliotrope, ylang-ylang, lily-of-the-valley and orris. The base includes amber, musk, sandalwood and vanilla.
PARIS AMOUR
Paris and love, eternal inspiration of creators. Bath and Body Works created this fragrance which comes in pale pink packaging with outlines of the Seine River and Eiffel's tower. Top notes bring us joyful drops of mandarin zest mixed with strawberry, currant leaves and blossom, pink apple blossom, along with fresh and floral kisses of dewy freesia. The heart provides a true floral bliss with jasmine petals, French tulip, lotus and frangipani. Floral notes melt in exciting peach passions. Floral-fruity harmony finishes with chords of French vanilla, coconut milk, amber, sandalwood and pleasant creamy musk.
