VS Pink With a Splash Body Mists

Pink with a Splash is a body mist collection from Victoria's secret's pink line. They have a huge collection of these great long lasting body mists, but having so many choices mean it can be a drag and kind of confusing sniffing through 'em all. I want to share my two absolute favorites from this line. Just buy these two and you're good for an entire year as one is a summer scent, and the other is great for winters.
Pink with a splash body mists come in 8.4floz and 4.2oz and has aloe and chamomile to lightly moisturize your skin. You can get them for $12 to $15 dollars from Victoria's secret.
They all come with matching body lotions

The Scents I have chosen to review today are called, Warm and Cozy (for winters) and Fresh and Clean (for summers)
PINK WITH A SPLASH IN 'WARM AND COZY'
Warm and Cozy
NOTES: Toasted Vanilla, Pink Peony and Raspberry
I love the name warm and cozy and it really is a warm comforting scent. The toasted vanilla lends a warm nuttiness to the scent making it a great winter staple. The peony is not overpowering, and the raspberry lends a subtle sweetness to it without making it overly fruity. It's a sweet, comforting vanilla  for when it's cold outside and you want to snuggle in by the fire with your favorite book and a hot drink.

PINK WITH A SPLASH IN 'FRESH AND CLEAN'
Fresh and Clean
Notes: Apple and Lily.
This has a "just stepped out of the shower" scent. It's very fresh and has a crispness to it with a slight apple note. Great for those summer days when you just want to lounge around the house and can't be bothered with wearing a "proper'' perfume. I find the staying power to last quite long for a body splash. It's not too sweet or cloying making it perfect to wear in warmer months.
Another good one for summers from the line is, "Sweet and Tart" which smells like strawberry lemonade.

Lush Christmas Favorites

I don't know what it is about Lush products that turns us all into kids again. Maybe the colorful confections stored in mounds at the store reminds us of candy stores we used to frequent as kids.
Like a kid, I get really excited each year when they launch new and old Christmas products. The normal range at lush is good too but there is something extra special about their Christmas edition products. Love the sweet, spicy, boozy scented stuff that comes out only once a year and makes the wintertime a little more special.
Sorry about the scrunched up bag :)
This is how it used to look like before it got mushed up in luggage. Love the candycane.
LUSH BUCHE DE NOEL FACIAL CLEANSER:  £5.95
My first review is for their scrumptious cleanser that comes out every Christmas called Buche de Noel. I love that name.
Buche de Noel is french for yule log.One of many traditional cakes baked at Christmas and this cleanser was inspired by that yule log shaped cake.
Lush Buche de Noel cleanser in all it's glory

It comes in a 100g tub chock full of goodness

Cranberries, almonds and satsumas. Tastes good too :) :)

LUSH:Feed your face this Christmas with this lovely gentle winter face cleanser.Buche De Noel is made by taking fresh satsumas and blending them with dried cranberries, vegetable glycerine, brandy, almond essential oil, vetiver oil and cedarwood oil. When that’s all whizzed up, we mix it with grated cocoa butter, ground almonds and kaolin until it becomes a thick paste. We then shape and roll it and finally cover it in a sheet of nori seaweed and pop on a little Christmas decoration.
I looove this cleanser and cannot rave about this enough. It has made such a difference to my skin. I have combination/oily skin prone to frequent breakouts, and I thought this cleanser will be too greasy for me. I'm glad I was wrong. Turns out, this is just what my skin needed, as using too many products for oily skin stripped my skin of all it's natural oils making it itchy and hence producing more oil and breakouts.I'm so happy I broke that cycle with this cleanser. I love how it smells too, like a boozy almondy fruit cake. I don't mind it being a limited edition winter product cuz I think it will be too heavy to use in the hot humid summers we have here. Using Buche de Noel in winters and Angels on bare skin in summers would be perfect, as both are quite similar in texture, buche being a bit less exfoliating. Using it can be a bit messy but you get used to it soon enough.
It says to take a pea sized amount, mix it with water, and massage all over face for perfectly soft winter skin.  And I find that is exactly the amount you need. Take more and you will be wasting product.

LUSH MAGIC WAND BUBBLE BAR: £4.95
I call it the snowfairy's magic wand
There is nothing like pampering yourself by making bath time fun, luxurious, and sweetly scented with Lush bath products!
I haven't used this as yet but it smells exactly like the snow fairy shower gel. Smells very sweet and girly. You are supposed to wave your wand under running water several times, like casting a spell :) while the cute little bell on it jingles, and watch it make heaps of bubbles in your tub. It's good for several uses, so stand whats left of your wand up to dry.

LUSH ONCE A YEAR MASSAGE BAR:£3.95

How cute is this Massage bar with that glittery Santa's mustache! Sadly it didn't come out this year, fingers crossed for next Christmas.
This is the most Christmassy massage bar I have ever smelt. It's supposed to have brandy, hazelnut and almond oils. The scent of it is very unique, not overly sweet but a lovely mixture of brandy/hazlenut oil and maybe nutmeg. What makes it even more festive is the gold glitter on the cute 'tache. The rest of the bar is glitterless.I like to rub the bar on my skin and massage it in like a lotion, then turn it over and lightly stroke the glittery mustache onto any areas where I want a bit of sparkle.Even though I don't drink, I find this massage bar a welcome boozy treat on cold winter nights.Plz bring it back next year!

LUSH SNOWGLOBE SOAP:£2.95/100g
Is this not one of the most beautiful soaps ever?! Snowglobe is the perfect name for it. It does remind you of shaking a snowglobe and watching all that glitter and fake snow falling inside the glass globe.
LUSH: Imagine yourself inside a snow globe – snow fluttering all around and a feeling of being refreshed, revitalized and uplifted. Well, this soap will make you feel all of the above, with a citrusy lemon myrtle, grapefruit and lemongrass blend that will bluster your senses and wake you up on cold winter mornings. The whole soap is in the shape of a snow globe, with white circles to imitate the snowflakes. A beautiful alternative to all the traditional festive offerings.
I'm not a fan of citrus scents in the winters, but this soap has a kind of wintery freshness to it. It's a yummy blend if grapefruit and and lemongrass. Yum! It is my new favorite and I thought I would never like a Christmas edition soap as much as father frost.
Remember Father frost soap???

LUSH ANGELS DELIGHT SOAP:£2.50/100g
This is another soap that took me by surprise, It's very tropical and fruity, not at all winter appropriate. It reminds me of juicy luscious mangoes and warm summer days. Leaves skin soft and lightly scented.
Divide your soaps into pieces and store into a drawer. Lush soaps cut very easily, and this way you don't spoil and melt away the entire bar in one shower.

LUSH CANDYCANE SOAP:£3.45 for 100g
I had high hopes for this one but was somewhat disappointed. Only because I was expecting it to smell like a real candycane, but it is more of an almond fragrance with cherries and a hint of peppermint.
Guess I should have listened when lush said "Lather up with this peppermint and almondy cherry fragrance-just don't eat it!"

LUSH MELTING SNOWMAN BATH MELT:£1.95 Each
These look like little mounds of meringue with chocolate chips

Aww! look at that adorable little snow man during mid-melt. This reminds me of the snowcake soap. It has that same yummy marzipan scent. Melting snowman is a fizzy bath melt packed full of cocoa and shea butter to soften the skin.

And last but not the least the lovely Pudding Knot-Wrap £2.50.
It's a great way to wrap presents without wasting any paper.

Burberry Brit Red Perfume Review

Burberry is renowned for doing very casual and wearable everyday scents. Nothing fancy about them at all. Most of their perfumes has this classic trademark Burberry plaid design on their packaging that just screams British charm.

Burberry Brit Red came out as a special edition in 2004 in a vibrant red plaid packaging which instantly puts you in the mood for the Holidays and celebration.

BURBERRY: Brit red by burberry is a special edition fragrance with that fun, exciting playful british attitude. The vivacious red bottle is a perfect blend of oriental fruits with sensual florals. The feminine scent possesses a blend of mandarin, red rose, gingerbread, patchouli, jasmine, sandalwood, vanilla beans.

It is marketed as an oriental floral. Some of the notes include red roses, spices, Jasmine, rhubarb , gingerbread and vanilla. the nose behind this sensual fragrance is Nathalie Gracia-Cetto who also created the famous Burberry Brit.
First of all I must say that Brit Red is not at all similar to the original Brit, but does share it's trait of juicy tart opening which  then settles into a warm vanilla scent. The opening of brit Red is juicy Rhubarb and ginger, which makes it somewhat sharp but by no means unpleasant. The sharp opening settles very quickly and makes way for the warm gingerbread  and cuddly vanilla mixed in with benzoin. I didn't detect any Jasmine or thankfully too strong a patchouli on my skin. Just roses, gingerbread and lots of Rhubarb. The spices reminds one of the spicy scents lingering in the kitchen during Christmas when you bake tons of gingerbread or ginger cookies and throw in a rhubarb pie.

It's a cheerful winter fragrance for anyone who loves spicy Christmas puddings, ginger bread and rhubarb. The addition of roses and sandalwood makes it interesting and not your average foody vanilla scent. It remains linear on my skin after the sharp juicy notes fade and I really enjoy that. The drydown is soft and cuddly with hints of vanilla and sandalwood. The silage is not overpowering and the lasting strength is excellent.

My 3.4FLoz bottle costs about $68 from Fragrance X.com

Perfume Category: Oriental Floral
Top Notes: Jasmine, Mandarin Orange, Rhubarb
Middle Notes: Ginger, Rose, Patchouli
Base Notes: Benzoin and vanilla
Great for : Day or nights in winters especially around Christmas :)

L'Occitane Miel Citron Pailletee Shimmering EDT review

It would be an understatement to say that I love honey scents. Now that I think about it, most of my shower gels lip balms and and shampoos contain either pure honey or honey mixed in with some other scent like milk or vanilla etc. I find the scent very soothing and nostalgic. Full of childhood memories when honey was given with warm milk at night accompanied by a bed time story, as a treat straight out of the jar oozing strands of golden goodness, or mixed into a hot drink with lemon to ward off  winter colds. So it's no surprise that I'm forever searching for perfumes with a strong honey note, but unfortunately it is also a very tricky note and with the wrong composition can get sickeningly sweet and synthetic with disastrous results.
I know from experience that L'Occitane en Provence makes some of the best honey scented products. Their Miel creme was the best smelling honey nectar scent EVER!! You can imagine how crushed I was when I read that the whole ''honey'' line had been discontinued. PETA was down their throats because L'Occitane claim to be an "all natural" product store and were wondering why they weren't concerned about the declining Bee population!!! Fine fine! Long live Provençal honey bees :) But that also meant that I had very little chance to find this lovely honey scent called Eau de Miel.I mean, how can you not like a perfume that comes in an ice cream container?! It was alcohol free and I had previously used the cream version of it and was so looking forward to owning it's perfume.

The next best thing was their famous Miel and Citron (honey and lemon)
This was a citrus gourmand with notes of cinnamon, vanilla and patchouli. This too was discontinued. Oh PETA how I loathe thee.
Luckily I came across another discontinued beauty from them called Miel and Citron Pailletee shimmering on ebay and managed to get my mitts on this one.

I cannot capture the beauty of this bottle in pictures. This is happiness in a bottle. It has such an airy, sunny outdoorsy quality to it. Reminds me of sunny days and honey hives. Bees buzzing through blossoms gathering their sweet nectar. Miel Citron Pailletee has notes of Lemon, cut grass, Freesia, honey, orange blossom, Apricot and Vanilla.

I know honey and lemon makes one think of cold remedy teas but this is gorgeous. The lemon is very fresh in the opening and cuts through the honey beautifully.Honey and apricot notes takes over right away. The honey is very clean, light and natural. More of the white honey variety than the rich golden one.White chewy honey fresh from the hive with wax still sticking to it. Freesia doesn't make an appearance on my skin at all. Just lemon and honey and maybe a wee bit of vanilla mixed in with some natural green notes. It's not a complicated fragrance with mish mash of too many notes trying to take up the stage. It lasts a long time for an EDT and the drydown is honey ambrosia with a slight waxy feel to it. Simply gorgeous.
It comes in a beautiful honeycomb textured bottle with very fine shimmering mica pieces. Not at all glittery and doesn't leave your skin with that disco ball effect. I wish there was such a thing as scratch and sniff computer screens so I could share this with you. Can't stop smelling myself :)

Have you tried perfumes from L'Occitane en Provence? Do you think they should relaunch their honey line?
